2010 Virginia Communications Hall of Fame Invitation

VAB Members are invited to the 23rd Annual Virginia Communications Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction Ceremony taking place on April 1, 2010, at the Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, VA. Join friends, colleagues & Hall of Fame members in honoring the 2010 inductees.

Reservations can be made by calling (804) 827-3761. Proceeds benefit the Hall of Fame permanent exhibit and scholarship fund.

Station Awards Information
Award winners will be announced at the Awards Banquet on Friday, June 25. All hands needed on deck to pick up treasures, great and small. This year, the award entries will be judged by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. Don’t get stuck walking the plank...all entries MUST be postmarked by April 9, 2010.

Laurence E. Richardson Award Winner

The Virginia Association of Broadcasters is pleased to announce that WDBJ7 and Blue Ridge PBS have been awarded the 2009 Laurence E. Richardson Community Service Award. The annual award was presented on January 20th at the VAB Legislative Reception in recognition of their combined “JobQuest” program.

2010 Political Windows

For the primary election on March 2 for offices elected in May, the LUC window opened on January 16, 2010.

For the general election on May 4 for offices elected in May, the LUC window opens on March 5, 2010.

For the primary election on June 8 for offices elected in November, the LUC window opens on April 24, 2010.

For the general election on November 2 for offices elected in November, the LUC window opens on September 3, 2010.
